The team offer the very best bespoke in-vehicle technology to our ever-growing portfolio of clients.

Here is an example of their work for a Fire and Rescue Command Unit.

They are dedicated to, not only providing excellent customer-centric products, service and solutions but also developing the latest state of the art ICT systems to assist first responders, medical and other clients save lives, improve efficiency and save money.

The support services rely on the team’s ability to link securely into most, if not all, of their globally distributed vehicles, enabling a fast efficient return to service, sometimes before the client is even aware of any issue.

Our aim in supporting Bence Command is to add new talented, inventive and dedicated people to the team which will allow them to help more clients, and develop new technical solutions including AR and VR.

Your Role as the new IT Software Developer and Support includes:

  • Java, Unix based programming scripting and admin.
  • Computer and router configuration, and maintenance.
  • Field installation, service and support.
  • Help desk support, remote diagnosis and rectification.
  • Windows desktop and server admin.
  • APIs
  • Solutions focused
  • You will, using our web-based support tools, or in the field, support clients to resolve issues with their networked IT systems, hardware and software configuration.

In order to be able to learn and get up to speed really quickly, you need to have as many of these skills as possible:

  • Java, JavaScript & jQuery, React
  • Web framework (Bootstrap, Vaadin)
  • Bright and enthusiastic, willing to learn new skills
  • Willing to work flexibly, long hours, travel nationally and internationally to meet the business needs.
  • Knowledge of PHP and MySQL
  • Modbus, IFM, CanBus (this would be a major bonus!)
  • Network administration

Salary is up to £40,000 and you will need to thrive in a small team with one other IT specialist.

The role also requires you to be away from home, working on-site, for one week in 3-4.

Based in Yate, just north of Bristol
