In the early years of my recruitment career (back in the 1990s), I knew immediately that outdated methods most recruiters would not suit everyone. That was in the first week of my first recruitment job in Bristol, England.

Recruitment felt transactional. And yet, we were helping companies to grow and supporting people with their next career move.

It felt like recruiters just wanted to focus on money, their money, and didn’t care about the business owners and the candidates’ success in the roles. I made it my mission to change the experience of working with recruiters for our clients and candidates.

I had a vision to revolutionise the recruitment industry, which was fixated on sales and commissions without regard for clients or candidates. So I set out to create an entirely new experience that puts people first!
